Shanna Shulman oversees the Foundation’s policy and research agenda, which seeks to identify barriers to health and health care and propose evidence-based solutions. She also manages the Foundation’s research projects monitoring the implementation of Chapter 58 and measuring the impact of health reform. Shulman worked most recently for Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. in Cambridge as a Senior Health Researcher where she lead multi-disciplinary research teams that analyzed quantitative and qualitative data related to federal and state health care coverage expansion efforts and access to care within those programs. She has published in Pediatrics and has authored numerous policy reports for policy-makers, funders, grantees, stakeholders, researchers, and the media. She holds a Ph.D in health policy from Harvard University.
