Marcy Ravech’s primary focus at the Foundation is on improving access to children’s mental health services. She also contributes to the Foundation’s ongoing research and policy efforts toward sustaining health care reform. Previously, Marcy worked for 22 years in community-based health and behavioral health care. She dedicated the first 19 years of her career to improving the lives of children, adults, and families with mental, emotional, and substance abuse challenges through her work at South Shore Mental Health. As Vice-President of Marketing and Community Relations she developed extensive programming based on best practices for children with serious emotional challenges, and adults with serious and persistent mental illness. She also created award-winning public education campaigns to fight the stigma of mental illness, and was responsible for enhancing the organization’s partnerships with many commercial insurance and managed care organizations. Most recently, Marcy served as Program Manager of the Community Care Alliance, a network of seven community health centers affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she played a leading role in the implementation of health care reform throughout the health centers and BIDMC. Marcy holds an A.B. from Brandeis University and an MSW from the Boston University School of Social Work.
